At a young age Syd Horster started making music. After high school he went to study at the Rotterdam Conservatory, Music Theater department.
Syd has been working as a singing teacher and voice coach since 2005. Over the years he worked as a coach and singer on many projects. Syd, for example, worked for Joop van den Ende’s musical Tarzan, Amandla! Mandela (Bos Theater productions). He also contributed to various other musical and pop music projects.
Syd specialized in the EVT method and can call himself Certified Master Teacher since 2012. Syd was involved in the development of The Universal Voice Guide, with accompanying courses and workshops.

He regularly gives vocals voice workshops for choirs and professional speakers. He also provides various workshops for singers and speech therapists. In addition to his work around the voice, Syd produces and composes music and writes / directs (theater) shows.
As a singing teacher, Syd Horster has worked for the Amsterdam School of the Arts, Dutch Academy of Performing Arts, Hofplein Rotterdam, Codarts and the Frank Sanders Akademie.
